Science is fascinating, full of experiences and entertaining – anyone can experience this at the Agora.

The facility is a unique attraction in the region, promising an exciting adventure and a lifelong experience for all age groups. At Agora, play and entertainment blend with learning; both children and adults can explore special devices and scientific curiosities. The modern three-story building’s Interactive Space features more than forty scientific games: visitors can meet Professor Öveges's dog, Heki and Pepper’s spirit, unravel the secrets of various illusions, test their reflexes, or find their way through the seemingly endless Mirror Maze. You can conjure up a 3D topographic map on Agora's special sandbox table, shoot targets with the special Lenz cannon, and play music on a laser harp. Everyone can experience how much work it takes to generate electricity, and if bold enough, they can even ride a bicycle two meters high.

Agora's program includes daily spectacular experimental demonstrations or robotics shows. These presentations reveal how extreme cold transforms everyday objects, why lightning makes noise, whether water always boils at 100°C, and what would happen to a human in space without protective gear. Visitors can also learn about the delicate movements a humanoid robot can perform, such as moving its fingers, standing on one leg, doing tai chi, or dancing.

Agora features one of Hungary’s largest mobile digital planetariums, which is periodically set up in the experience centre. A full-dome movie under the massive dome can be a lifelong experience for both young and old. With the digital planetarium, you can explore the starry sky, observe the movement of celestial bodies, or watch full-dome films in Hungarian or English.

Agora is located in the Botanical Garden of the University of Debrecen, in a beautiful setting. With an entry ticket to the experience centre, visitors can also access the Botanical Garden, which can be explored through guided tours or a playful quiz.
