With its rich archaeological, local history, fine arts, cultural and ethnographic collections, as well as its historical relics, it is one of the priceless treasures of Hungarian culture.

Perhaps the most popular exhibition space of the museum, the Munkácsy room, contains the monumental works of the painter Mihály Munkály Munkály, which deal with the story of Christ´s suffering. Over the years, the Munkácsy room of the museum has become a sacred space, where people often come as pilgrims to experience their Hungarianness and faith. In addition to the permanent exhibitions of Déri Museum, temporary exhibitions also await visitors.

The four sculptures by Ferenc Medgyessy located in front of the museum building won the grand prize at the Paris World Exhibition in 1937.
